EUN equips Espacio SOLO with tailored solutions while honoring a historic building
At EUN, we have completed the installation of technical and display furniture at Espacio SOLO, located opposite the Royal Collections.
A singular challenge: to intervene in a basement hall of a historic building, preserving its character and enhancing its original architecture.
From the initial phase, we worked hand in hand with the architect and EUN’s Innovation team, defining every detail to achieve immaculate finishes. The priority was to integrate the solutions without altering key structural elements—columns and arches—while delivering an aesthetic outcome that met the firm’s exacting standards.
Among the installed solutions, our 620E systems with mesh panels stand out, aligned to the millimeter in front of the columns to reinforce the reading of the arches and conceal the luminaires. At the client’s request, the lighting was recessed into the top shelf, avoiding any visible protrusions. We also adapted a batch of pull-out art racks with a smooth front closure, concealing the lower wheel to deliver a continuous, refined appearance. Attention to finishes was extreme, with successive iterations until the defined standards were met.
The process was a true team effort. Before execution, representatives of the SOLO Foundation visited our factory to see the solutions first-hand and contribute to the design. On site, our technical team made several in-situ visits to fine-tune finishes, validate adjustments, and ensure the certification of each lot in line with the agreement with the architecture firm.
The result is an integrated, understated ensemble in which EUN’s technology serves the space: precise systems that engage with the historic structure, discreet lighting, and finishes that enhance the exhibition experience.
