New project for the Marchena archive in a historical building
The Casa de la Fábrica historical building in this city in Seville province was designed by Sevillian master architect Ambrosio de Figueroa in the eighteenth century.
Built to restore nearby church assets and house its grain, the building has operated as the municipal library and historical archive since the end of the twentieth century, safeguarding historical legacies including several documents from 1492.
The new storage space put to tender by the public authorities had several objectives: first and foremost, to maximise the new archive space to house the current repository and solve document storage needs for the long term, accomplishing optimal preservation of its valuable contents.
Following the preliminary study, and considering the starting objectives proposed in the tender, EUN suggested the 620 Mobile Storage System series as the solution that best delivered on requirements and our option was the one the technical team chose, since it makes it possible to grow the storage space capacity by 150%.
